    6 months ago, I arrived at this Sportchek location looking for a pair of roller blades for the Spring and Summer. Upon arriving at the store, one hour prior to close, I wander my way through the store about 10 minutes, to the department where there are roller blades. The staff that I saw in the store, were all huddled together in the Footwear area, talking to one another, with no one in sight. I find the roller blade style that I want, that is on display, and as I reach from the shelf, all of the staff distribute themselves back into sections, now making themselves not available. I wander the store for about 5 minutes, looking for an associate, only to be told that the Roller blades are not their Department, but if I go to the Hockey section, they could gladly help me. I head over to the hockey section , where I ask for a size in the Roller Blade, that I had taken from the wall, and carried around the store with me. The associate didn't know the Style Number, so we wandered back over to the Roller Blades section, and he asks me to wait, while he goes and looks for the Roller Blades in the stock room. He comes back 15 minutes later, after a Manager has come by, asking if I've been helped; with a box of Ice Skates, drops the Box, and walks away. I again in turn have to track an associate down, explaining that I did not ask for Ice Skates, I asked for Roller Blades. The same associate is brought back to me, who then takes the box into the back of the store, and disappears for another 15 minutes, to come out and tell me that he did not have the Roller Blades in stock, but that the store was now closed, so I could come back tomorrow if I wanted to purchase a pair of roller blades, which the promotion for the Roller Blades ended that day. Obviously frustrated with the behaviours of the staff at the Limeridge Mall Store, I decided to try a different location the morning after (Eastgate Mall). Within 5 minutes of arriving in the store, the associates had greeted me, directed me to the Roller Blades section, where they did not have the Roller Blades in stock, but had 3 other styles which I could try, that they brought out to me. They also pointed out that Limeridge Mall should have had 3 pairs in stock of the Roller Blades I wanted, because it was available in their inventory. The reason why I am sharing this is because this is the issue with the Sportcheck brand; one store runs phenomenally efficient, gets everything I could ask for, and yet the one closer to me, can barely even get an associate to wear a name tag and uniform, let alone take care of a customer. It's very frustrating that EVERY time I visit this store location at LimeRidge Mall, these behaviours are typical of the associates. I should also mention that I witnessed an associate at this location issuing discounts at the register to multiple customers whom were not SPC Card holders, but were getting the SPC discount; also known as discount fraud. Really with this store, it starts with re-training the staff, developing Managers, and addressing the behaviours to improve it's potential. It's really sad, that I have to go 30 minutes out of my way to get the products that I want and need, because of a poor quality staff experience.
